Terms of Use

1. Who we are
Minute Mission ("the app", "we") is made and operated by 4V3D OÜ (registry code 17515961, VAT EE102990461), Tallinn, Estonia. You can reach us at support@minutemission.app.
2. What the app is
Minute Mission helps families organise everyday missions (chores and habits) for children, award points and redeem rewards. It comes in two editions:
- Self-hosted edition: you run the software on your own server, and your data never leaves it. Self-hosting is included with the Lifetime plan: buying Lifetime is what gets you the container image, the setup materials and a licence to run one server for your own household. The software itself contains no licence check and never contacts us.
- Hosted edition (minutemission.app): we run the service for you. Some features require a paid plan.
3. Accounts and children
Minute Mission is an app for the adults raising a child: a parent, a grandparent, a guardian, a foster carer. Accounts are created and used by a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years old. Children do not use the app and cannot have an account of any kind. There is no child login, no child mode, no camera, no chat and no way for a child to enter anything: the adult marks missions off and hands out rewards themselves. A "child" in the app is simply a name, an icon and a points balance that the adult maintains.
By creating a child profile you confirm that you are that child's parent or guardian and that you consent to the processing of the small amount of child data described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your family account.
4. Acceptable use
Use the app for your own family. Don't try to break into other families' data, overload the service, reverse-engineer the hosted service, or use the app for anything illegal or harmful. Any image you upload (a child's avatar, a reward picture) must be yours to share and appropriate for children.
The app is a household organiser and a points ledger. It is not a supervision, monitoring, safety or educational tool, it does not track anyone's location or device, and the points in it are not money and have no value outside your own family.
5. Plans, trial and payment (hosted edition)
The Free plan costs nothing and has no time limit. The paid plans are: Family Pro monthly or yearly (each starts with a 3-day free trial, first charge on day 4), Lifetime (one payment), Big Family yearly (3-day free trial) and Big Family lifetime (one payment).
Where you buy. Every plan is sold and billed by Google Play (and, when available, the Apple App Store). We never take card payments directly and never see your card details. The store shows the price in your own currency, tax included, and that is the price you pay.
How the trial ends. The trial runs for 72 hours from the moment you start it. If you have not cancelled by then, the subscription begins and the first payment is taken on day 4, then automatically at the start of each following period until you cancel. Cancel at any point during the first 3 days and you are charged nothing at all. The store shows the price and the date of the first charge before you confirm, and sends a reminder before the trial ends.
Cancelling. You cancel in the store's subscription settings; the Plan & billing screen in the app takes you there. Cancelling stops the next charge and keeps the plan until the period you paid for ends.
Lifetime. Lifetime is a single payment with no subscription and no renewal. It covers the hosted edition for as long as we operate it, and it includes the self-hosted edition (section 2), which is yours to keep. If we ever stop operating the hosted edition, we give Lifetime and Big Family lifetime families at least 12 months' notice, your data stays exportable until the last day, and the self-hosted edition carries on without us.
Gifted periods. A free period you were given (a code, a gift from us) is kept if you buy: what you buy is added after it ends.
5a. Refunds
All purchases are made through Google Play or the Apple App Store; we never take card payments directly and never see your card details. Refunds for store purchases are decided by the store under its own policy, and you request them there. We cannot issue, block or overrule a store refund.
Within that, our position is: the free trial is a full 3 days and costs nothing if you cancel before it ends; a paid period that has started is not refunded by us, except for a duplicate charge, a charge after you cancelled, or a prolonged outage on our side. Write to support@minutemission.app from the address on the account for those.
Nothing in this section limits refund or withdrawal rights you have under the consumer law of the country where you live, or under the store's policy.
Price changes. If we change the price of a plan you already subscribe to, you are told at least 30 days in advance and the new price only applies from your next period. You can cancel before then.
6. Your content
Mission names, reward names, notes and photos are yours. We only use them to run the service for your family. You can export everything as JSON and delete your family account at any time.
7. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep the hosted edition running, but it is provided "as is" and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features; if we ever shut the hosted edition down we will give at least 60 days' notice and a way to export your data.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, 4V3D OÜ is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for the hosted edition is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live (for example in the EU and EEA, the United Kingdom, Australia or New Zealand). Consumers in the EU may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way we will show a notice in the app. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms. If you do not agree with a change you can stop using the service and delete your family at any time. A change that reduces what a paid plan includes does not apply to a period you have already paid for.
