Delete your account

You can delete your Minute Mission family and everything in it at any time. There is no form to fill in and nobody to ask.

From inside the app

Open Settings, scroll to the bottom and choose Delete family. You will be asked for your password, because this cannot be undone. That is the whole process, and it happens immediately.

If you have already uninstalled the app

Email support@minutemission.app from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your family. We will confirm once it is done. If you write from a different address we will ask you to prove the account is yours, which is a nuisance but the alternative is deleting somebody else's family on a stranger's say-so.

What gets deleted

All of it: every grown-up account, every child, their names and pictures, every mission, every reward, the whole points history, your settings and any devices signed up for reminders. Nothing is kept in a recycle bin and nothing can be restored afterwards.

What we keep, and why

Two things survive, and neither identifies you or your children. If you paid, the record of the payment stays with our payment provider and in our accounts, because Estonian bookkeeping law requires it for seven years. And if you redeemed a promotional code, the fact that the code was used stays attached to the code so it cannot be redeemed twice. The family it belonged to is released, not recorded.

Deleting only some of it

You do not have to delete the whole family to get rid of something. Inside the app you can delete a single child, which takes their name, picture, points and entire mission history with them, or a single mission, or a single reward, or one grown-up's login. Each is deleted where you find it: open the item, then Delete. It happens immediately and it is not reversible either.

If you want something removed and cannot reach it in the app, write to support@minutemission.app from the address you signed up with, saying what should go. We answer within 30 days and normally the same week.

Take your data with you first

If you want a copy before you go, open Settings → Export data. You get a single JSON file with everything in it. Do that first; after deletion there is nothing left to export.
